Haiti - Football : Our Grenadiers win against St. Lucia [2-1] in a difficult match

Tuesday, in the context of the League of Nations of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), after their overwhelming victory [13-0 against St-Marteen https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25499-haiti-league-of-nations-the-grenadiers-pulverize-saint-marteen-[13-0].html , our Grenadiers faced St. Lucia on the pitch of the Pierre Aliker stadium in Fort-de-France in Martinique for their second League Match.

Under pouring rain, which lasted over an hour and a play area saturated with water, our Grenadiers beat St. Lucia [2-1].

Soni Mustivar (Neftchi Bakou, Azerbaijan) on a shot from inside of the left opened the scoring in favor of Haiti at 13' [1-0] on a Derrick Etienne service.

Hérold Charles Jr. (Cibao FC, Dominican Republic) will drive the score thanks to a balloon served by Zachary Hérivaux, registering at 34' a second goal in the net of St. Lucia [2-0].

Pernal Williams of a coiled shot, was right of our goalkeeper and captain Johny Placide (Oldham Athletic, UK) and narrowed the gap to St. Lucia [2-1].

In the second half, our Grenadiers suffered to preserve this goal in advance and the changes made by Marc Collat, apart from the exit of Charles Hérold Junior in favor of Jimmy Shammar Sanon, confirmed this trend. Ricardo Adé replaced Zachary Hérivaux and Djimmy Bend Alexis entered to the place of Soni Mustivar.

Our Grenadiers win the 3 points of this match and strong of 2 consecutive victories (St Marteen and St Lucie), already think about the next meetings against Nicaragua next November and Cuba in March 2019.
